Outlook Express keyboard shortcuts

Outlook Express is still one of the easiest to use e-mail clients. If you send alot of e-mails many of these keyboard shortcuts will come in handy.

Send and receive e-mail CTRL+M Select all messages CTRL+A
Delete an e-mail message DEL or CTRL+D
Main window
Open or post a new message CTRL+N Open a selected message CTRL+O or ENTER
Open the Address Book CTRL+SHIFT+B Mark a message as read CTRL+ENTER or CTRL+Q
Reply to the message author CTRL+R Move between the Folders list (if on), message list, preview pane, and Contacts list (if on). TAB
Forward a message CTRL+F Mark all news messages as read CTRL+SHIFT+A
Reply to all CTRL+SHIFT+R or CTRL+G (news only) Go to a newsgroup CTRL+W
Go to your Inbox CTRL+I Expand a news conversation (show all responses) LEFT ARROW or PLUS SIGN (+)
Go to the next message in the list CTRL+> or CTRL+SHIFT+> Collapse a news conversation (hide messages) RIGHT ARROW or MINUS SIGN (-)
Go to the previous message in the list CTRL+< or CTRL+SHIFT+< Go to the next unread newsgroup or folder CTRL+J
View properties of a selected message ALT+ENTER Download news for offline reading CTRL+SHIFT+M
Refresh news messages and headers F5
Message window—viewing or sending
Go to the next unread e-mail message CTRL+U Close a message ESC
Go to the next unread news conversation CTRL+SHIFT+U Find text F3
Go to a folder CTRL+Y Find a message CTRL+SHIFT+F
Message window—sending only
Switch among the Edit, Source, and Preview tabs CTRL+TAB
Check names CTRL+K or ALT+K
Check spelling F7
Insert a signature CTRL+SHIFT+S
Send (post) a message CTRL+ENTER or ALT+S

    You need to be on the email msg tho.

  13. I assume u are using windows XP – for this you need to go to Start – Programs – find the icon and then drag it to your desktop. Hope this helps.
